Gardar (ガルザル Garuzaru?) was a former Viking warrior turned slave.

Appearance[]

Gardar was a man with a large stature, loose hair and scars all over his body, as a result of his time as a slave and a warrior.

Personality[]

Gardar desperately wanted to find and make amends with his wife and son.

History[]

Gardar and his wife Arnheid had a happy and peaceful life in a small Swedish village, raising their infant son, Hjatli. But peace would not last when a war broke out over a large deposit of iron that was found. He and the other village men joined the fight to claim it, hoping it would bring prosperity. Unfortunately, the opposite would be true, and the village was raided while they were away, leaving Arnheid to be taken as a slave and Hjalti to be killed. Gardar would ultimately be captured as well and made a slave to a cruel master.

After years of brutal slavery, Gardar would finally escape and begin his search for his family. During this search, he would make his way to Ketil's farm. At the farm, he was found by the guards, resulting in the death of Lizard and his capture at the hands of Snake. During the confrontation, he was gravely wounded and tied up. It was when Arnheid freed him that they could finally escape together. But he died of his injuries before they could make it far.
