Vinland Saga (ヴィンランド・サガ, Vinrando Saga) is a TV anime series based on the Vinland Saga manga by Makoto Yukimura and animated by Wit Studio. It will begin airing in Japan on July 8, 2019, on Japan's national broadcaster NHK and will run for 24 episodes. Amazon licensed the series for English release and will stream it worldwide via its subscription service Amazon Prime. Amazon will also stream the first episode on July 7, 2019, one day before its premiere in Japan.

At "Vinland Saga 2nd Anniversary Memorial Movie" on July 7, 2021, it was announced that production on the second season of the anime has been green-lit.
